Hi! My name is Brittney. I am a Jamaican-American illustrator and character designer. I received my BFA in Studio Arts at the School of Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University in Boston, MA. I have a passion for imagination and play and use my work to reflect on my childhood, bring my young self's imagination to life, and deal with my struggles then. My goal is to create illustrations that mean and stand for something bigger and influence children (and/or adults and adolescents) to believe they can do anything they put their minds to. I work in gouache, ink, watercolor, and acrylic markers and repeat that process in my digital work. My influences have always been Studio Ghibli, Disney, Avatar The Last Airbender, and many late 90s and early 2000s anime, cartoons, and video games. When I'm not drawing, I enjoy reading, playing video games, embroidering, and drinking tea.
